Ellis Brandt spent his career as a healthcare investor building scoring frameworks — systems for turning messy, incomparable information about companies into a number you can act on. He applies the same discipline here to GLP-1 providers. The grade is published with its inputs and its weights, because a grade you cannot decompose is not a grade, it is an opinion with a letter on it. Commercial relationships affect where a provider appears on this site. They do not affect its score.

What the byline is, and what it is not

Ellis Brandt is a pen name. It is a byline for the editorial work on this site, not the legal name of the person behind it. That is ordinary publishing practice, and it is stated here rather than left to be discovered.

Ellis Brandt holds no clinical credential and none is claimed. He is not a physician, nurse, pharmacist, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, dietitian or any other licensed clinician, and there are no letters after the name. He is not a medical reviewer, because this site has no clinical review process and therefore claims none.

What he does have is experience in healthcare and biotech investing, in building scoring and evaluation frameworks, in equity research and comparative company analysis, and in pharmaceutical company building. Those are domains, not job titles, and the bio above deliberately names no employer, no institution, no degree and no dates — because it is published under a pen name, and a pen name cannot carry specifics it would not be able to defend.

There is no author photograph on this site, and there will not be one. A generated portrait attached to a pen name is a fabricated credential wearing a face.
