How we grade
Ellis Brandt built this site’s grading methodology and maintains it. Last re-read 2026-09-04.
A letter grade is a compression. It is worth nothing if you cannot decompress it, so every grade on this site is published beside the four numbers it was built from, and the weights that combined them are below. If you disagree with a weight, the sub-scores are on every board and you can re-rank it yourself.
Status: the weights below are provisional and the provider records currently on this site are placeholders. No real grade is published yet.
The four sub-scores
| Dimension | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| price transparency | 35% | Whether a standing rate is published before the intake, with its billing cycle and the dose it buys. A figure with no cycle attached scores at the floor. |
| pharmacy disclosure | 25% | Whether the dispensing pharmacy is named on the page for this drug, and whether its registration is stated. A pharmacy named on a different drug's page does not count. |
| what's included | 25% | Whether the price states what it covers — consult, medication, supplies, shipping, dose escalation — item by item rather than as a bundle word. |
| cancellation terms | 15% | Whether the cancellation route, notice period and refund position are published outside the terms of service, before a card is entered. |
The letter bands
Each sub-score runs 0 to 10. The weighted total maps to a letter at the floors below. Grades are set in type, in ink. They are not colour-coded, here or anywhere on this site: a red F is an editorial opinion pretending to be data.
| Grade | Weighted score, at least |
|---|---|
| A | 9.0 |
| A− | 8.5 |
| B+ | 8.0 |
| B | 7.5 |
| B− | 7.0 |
| C+ | 6.5 |
| C | 6.0 |
| C− | 5.5 |
| D+ | 5.0 |
| D | 4.5 |
| D− | 4.0 |
| F | 0.0 |
How a missing value is handled
A value we could not find is scored at the floor for that dimension, not omitted and not averaged away. A provider that does not publish a price has not earned a neutral score on price transparency; it has failed to publish a price, and the grade says so.
What a commercial relationship changes
Nothing about a score. The comparator that orders every board on this site reads the weighted score and the provider name, and has no access to the commercial flag. Of the 3 providers currently graded, 1 are companies we may be paid by and 2 are companies we are paid nothing by. Where placement is commercially influenced anywhere on this site, the disclosure page names the board and counts it.
How often this is re-read
Prices and disclosures are re-read on a published schedule, and every figure on the site carries the date it was read. A price with no reading date is not published here.
