How this site makes money
Affiliate commissions, and nothing else. If a reader follows a link from this site to a provider and signs up, that provider may pay us a commission. We are not paid to publish a review, to raise a score, to move a row, or to leave a company out.
Where a link is one we may be paid for, the page says so beside that link, before you click it, not once at the bottom of the page. On the boards and in the list of every seller, a seller that may pay us carries a “Partner” badge on its own row or card. On that seller’s own review page, and on the single offer card some pages carry in their side column, the sentence directly beneath the button says we may be paid if you sign up there. The box that can open when you follow a link to a seller that does not pay us says the same of the partner it suggests.
What that money does not change
- Not a score. Sub-scores are read from what a provider publishes. There is no price for a higher one, and no provider is shown a score before it is published.
- Not the order inside a group. On every board and in the list of every seller, partners are listed first, each marked “Partner”, and the rest follow. That grouping is the one thing the relationship changes about order. Within each group the rows are listed alphabetically by provider name.
- Not who appears. A provider cannot buy its way onto a board, and declining a commercial relationship does not remove a row or soften what is written about it.
- Not the wording. No sponsored posts, no guest posts, no paid links inside article text, and no copy written or approved by the company it describes.
Where there is no paid link at all
The education pages — the ones sourced to FDA-approved prescribing information — carry no outbound provider link of any kind, no call to action and no provider named as a place to buy. The utility and legal pages carry none either.
Outbound links
Every link to a provider — paid or not — leaves this site through a /go/ redirect on our own domain, so that clicks can be counted per page and per position. That redirect is closed to search crawlers. A link to a provider we have a commercial relationship with carries a tracking identifier; a link to one we do not carries none, because there is nothing to track.
If something here is wrong
Errors are fixed in public and logged, with what was wrong and when it was fixed, on the corrections page. A figure supplied by a company is treated as a reason to re-read its published page, not as a figure to publish.
